REI Free Snowshoeing and X country skiing

What: Utah Nordic Alliance/ Rei clinic Snowshoeing and X country skiing.

This will be a very fun free event. Sponsered by The Utah Nordic Alliance and REI.
If you have ever wanted to try snowshoes, Nordic skis and try cross country, this is the perfect chance.

Winter Trails day at Mountin Dell is an event that will get you started:-) Members from the Utah Nordic Alliance and fantastic guides from the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation will be there to help teach everyone. This is the perfect event for beginners and people who have always wanted to learn. They will be doing guided snowshoeing, cross country and skate ski instruction and the outdoor interpretation I hear is not to be missed! If you already know how to ski and snowshoe, the will have new Demo equipment available to try out.

Best of all it is FREE!

The event will run from 10am to 2 pm. This is a first come first serve basis. Activities will generally begin on the hour and 1/2 hour. Please allow time for parking and registration.

Mountain Dell Golf course is located in lower Parley’s Canyon on I-80 east of Salt Lake City at exit 134 (6.5 miles from the mouth of the canyon).

  2. By the way, as far as saving money goes, theres a new way to obtain used items that you need for absolutely free! Its called freecycle.org, Basically, insted of filling up our landfills with items that are still usable, freecycle.org allows people to list items that they no longer need and people can just see what other people have posted and obtain items for free. Lets keep the earth beautiful and landfills free of usable items. freecycle.org is a great way to help =)
